About We Found It Studio:

We Found It Studio is a brand with antique Japanese and vintage inspirations.  They explore contemporary and minimalist design, to create garments in a way that respects our planet. Their wares are feminine and comfortable pieces, designed to last through the seasons and the years.

Made in France, from vintage fabrics, end of series or leftover fabrics and in very limited editions.

Fair Pay and Good Working Conditions:

We Found It Studio creations are handmade by 2 independent seamstresses within their hometown. They both work from their own workshop and set their own rates which is €20 per hour. 

Deadlines for producing items are fair and realistic.

Sustainable Materials: 

Their creations are made from vintage fabrics, leftover, deadstock or end of series fabrics. They also use their own leftovers for creations such as scrunchies and wristbands.

Sustainable Practice:

Everything is handmade in their hometown reducing products' travel and C02 emission. They work with independent seamstresses nearby, frequently checking in via bicycle. Their labels are made from recycled materials too. Their orders via website (under construction) and Instagram are made-to-order to produce only what is needed, they also provide tailing services on their ways to adjust to fit. They also sell a small range in a local shop with items being replenished only when needed. Their wares are versatile and created to last the seasons and the years.  

Animal Welfare:

We Found it Studio do not use leather. The silk they use is vintage or from leftover and already in existence.

Sustainable Packaging: 

We Found it Studio use recyclable cardboard boxes and are considering reusable packaging when their new website launches.

Social Responsibility: 

We Found it Studio have chosen not to follow the rhythm of seasonality imposed by the fashion industry, instead creating pieces according to their desires, inspirations and the fabrics they find. Their designs are suitable for wear all year round.

We Found it Studio do not hold regular sales. They set a fair price, ensuring everyone involved is paid fairly also. 

Community Contribution: 

We Found it Studio work with local independent seamstresses, and sell their creations in a local shop to support local businesses. They believe in the importance of supporting real people and small businesses.
